T-Mobile released the multi-window update for the Galaxy Note 2 middle of December last year. While that seems to be only yesterday, many other phones have received over-the-air firmware updates, but some carrier-locked phone owners are still waiting for theirs. But, since you're on Android, nothing is really impossible. A trip to the XDA Developers Forum would show any user that getting that firmware update is only a click or a flash away.

XDA Developers member teshxx customized the stock Android 4.1.2 ROM build XXDLL4 factory image released recently for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE GT-N7105. teshxx modified it to work for the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889. T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 users can enjoy either the deodexed or odexed version of this ROM. Both versions are rooted with unsecured boot and they come with init.d support and Busybox. This stock ROM is stable and can be easily customized by flashing kernels. Go ahead and flash this ROM to get your unofficial Android 4.1.2 update.

This guide shows you how to update the Galaxy Note 2 T889 to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean via teshxx's ported stock ROM.

the reason Verizon has there name on these phones ,,is because they are a distributed by samsung. along with at&t T-Mobile and the other ones. they are distributed through samsung! but yeah i do agree ,,,,they didnt have to put there logo on the front of theses phones,, but if you look at all other phones verizon has,, every phone is marked with verizon, i have a intensityll ph right now and it has there logo on the front of it too!

Is the wifi calling feature disabled on this rom?

    • http://twitter.com/BeingHiitesh Hitesh

Wifi calling is a Tmobile’s proprietary feature. Internationally rom’s don’t have it.

Thanks Carl for featuring my rom. It’s still hard to believe it, but I am truly humbled. Thank you!
