The dev presents this zipaligned and deodexed ROM for old and new custom ROM flashers out there. What's more is that the developer threw in many tweaks to really let you feel the speed: build.prop, battery, and RAM. Requirements
- A rooted T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889 with ClockworkMod Recovery. For help, see these guides:
- Download the Frosty JB ROM (FrostyJB_4.1.1-v1-NOTE2.zip, md5sum: 2ecfcdbb87880bf6008685d5ac8ef35f)
- Make sure your device's battery still has at least 70% power. You don't want the device to shut down in the middle of the procedure.
- Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.
Instructions
- Copy the FrostyJB_4.1.1-v1-NOTE2.zip file to your phone's internal SD card.
- Turn your Galaxy Note 2 off.
- Boot to ClockworkMod Recovery. To do this, press and hold down the Volume Up, Home, and the Power buttons until the screen turns on. Use the Volume Keys to navigate through the options and the Power button to select an option.
- Create a NANDroid Backup. Select Backup and Restore > Backup.
- Select Wipe Data/Factory Rest > Yes.
- Select Wipe Cache Partition > Yes.
- Select Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache > Yes.
- Select Advanced > Fix Permissions > Yes.
- Select Install ZIP from SD Card > Choose ZIP from SD Card > Locate and select FrostyJB_4.1.1-v1-NOTE2.zip > Yes.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7.
- Select Advanced > Fix Permissions > Yes.
- Select Go Back > Reboot System Now.
- Leave your phone to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Reboot your phone.
