Patience is indeed a virtue. Looks like the AT&T Galaxy Note will be able to enjoy Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean features through a ROM. You've got JamieD81 to thank for that.

The said developer has put together an AOKP Jelly Bean preview. That means you can enjoy features such as Jelly Bean's acclaimed “smooth as butter” fluid interface, Google Now, a smarter keyboard, better accessibility, an improved notification menu, and a whole lot more.

Unfortunately, it seems that JamieD81 has discontinued the development of this ROM. That means that there will be no future updates. If you're still itching to give your AT&T Galaxy Note a taste of Jelly Bean goodness, you can try this ROM.

In this post, you will learn how to upgrade the Galaxy Note I717 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via an AOKP preview ROM.

I can’t believe you could post something that is purely worthless and does not work. I followed step-by-step and nothing worked properly.

Doesn’t work at all! Just says it was aborted. Now to figure out how to undo this mess!

This should work, the only problem is the kernel is not needed as it is already included with the ROM and do not use CWM unless it is the latest version. I prefer to use TWRP v2.2.1.1.

It makes things 10x easier to install CM roms

It runs like a champ with TWRP, all except WiFi. This could b awesome, if only WiFi were up. Using it now.smooth fast

Correction from last. Video players rarely work, no incoming email/gmail, no wifi…back to blackstar!! If anyone could fix those issues, jelly bean would rock the note

Well, obviously I’m not perfect. Everything excep video cam running now. Must have been due to not flashing the kernel as advised by keV. Not saying he was wrong but after following all instruction, closer to correct than previous attempts. I also favor this ROM over xda preview as it is appears more like tablet

    Now site is up but
h0tkernel-internal.zip is missing, can anyone share it please?

Usually a upgrade means improvement over the previous. Not in this case. Video camera inop. SPEN, etc. Even Music player not functioning correctly. Not really useful for a daily driver. REVERTING BACK…..
