The Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 might be one of the lucky devices to receive an official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, but who knows when that's going to arrive? Rumors suggest some time this October, but do you really want to wait that long when you have a variety of ways to get a taste of this sweet treat? Android developers are a clever bunch and they're always cooking up new ways for users to get their hands on the latest updates. “Delayed gratification” is certainly not a term we're familiar with in these parts.

That's why users will jump on any new ROMs that might promise them an early taste of what's coming their way. While a lot of us would prefer a stable and polished ROM, we just can't help ourselves. We need Jelly Bean on our devices right now. Don't worry, we completely understand. Thankfully, XDA Developers member mnm1992 has compile unofficial CyanogenMod 10 nightlies for the phone. You can enjoy the latest features and a few things the developer is throwing in such as dock settings, launcher settings, and a whole lot more.

Keep in mind that these nightlies are not stable and you might come across some bugs. Nightlies are automatically generated daily and may not have instant fixes to snags.

In this guide, learn how to upgrade the Galaxy Note N7000 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via CyanogenMod 10 (unofficial nightly).
