Galaxy Note 4 the Date Episode 2-3

Our calendar is circled for September 3rd and we are ready to get our hands all over the Samsung Galaxy Note 4! The announcement is only a week away, and with all the details pretty much outed, it’s just a matter of waiting before everything is set in stone. Today we have a little something to get you all hyped up, though – the device’s stock wallpaper.

This QHD-ready (2560x2560p) wallpaper has been leaked and is ready for download. You can even use it on your own devices, but most of us currently sport 1080p phones, so very few can take advantage of the full resolution.

More than anything, it serves as a bit of proof that the display will, in fact, come with a QHD 2560x1440p resolution. Not that we doubted it at this point, but a bit more corroboration is always welcomed.

Those who are curious about other specs can always look back at out previous reports for more Galaxy Note 4 details. Camera and fingerprint reader information was recently rumored. Those are always interesting, but for a Galaxy Note overload you can check out our Note 4 rumor roundup.

Other specs do include a Samsung Exynos octa-core processor or a Snapdragon 805 (depending on your market, as well as that 5.7-inch QHD display, 3 GB of RAM, 16MP/3.68MP cameras and 32 GB of internal storage, among other things. It will definitely be a force to be reckoned with, so let’s stay tuned for IFA!

For now we can all just download this wallpaper and salivate over it. Simply click on the wallpaper, right-click and hit save.

    I’m ready to Jump!

  • Karman Nagra

I would be moving from the nexus 5. The nexus 5 is fast and stable and stock android is really nice, but I just feel it doesn’t meet up to my needs. Well the note 4 is a note so that’s the only reason you really need.

    • Wall Breaker

yeah I love nexus devices plan on getting the Nexus X but if you already are the type of person that flashes roms and use launchers software is really no longer a factor as much as features and hardware. My main issue with the Note devices is 5.7 is huge I am sometimes jealous of my wife’s note 3 screen but portability is very important especially when going to the gym using a phablet in the gym is really frustrating and clunky. I think the biggest I would go is 5.2 or 5.5 max and thats with thin bezels.

But since samsung is keeping the display at 5.7 they could actually make it smaller than the note 3 if they wanted to so I might still consider the Note 4, I will say the Note series is definitely Samsungs saving grace I don’t think they would be as popular without it.

      • Karman Nagra

This might sound wired but the nexus 5 feels a little too small for me. It’s not like I would throw away my nexus after getting the note 4, I’ll just be able to use the big screen of the phablet as a daily driver and use the nexus for flashing roms etc.

      • keithbe

You shouldn’t need, or use, your phone while you’re training?

    • Jayfeather787

      What a wasteful upgrade.

      • Karman Nagra

Not really, its not an upgrade its a replacement.

        • Jayfeather787

That’s not a worthy replacement. It’s a downgrade. Nexus 5 will still be better than the Note 4. It’s a waste of money. Plus you need a better power supply. Save the money and throw in that other 500 GB hard drive.

          • Karman Nagra

I’m not trying to change your opinion, its your opinion. However in terms of user experience, Samsung is years ahead of google on this. By user experience I don’t mean the gimmicky features announced on the s4, but the useful and practical s pen. I do a lot of note taking on my phone and as most people handwriting is faster than typing on a screen. Its not that one phone is better than the other, it just what fits my needs the most. Also I NEED a bigger screen. I have huge hands and the nexus 5 feels like a 4.5 in phone when compared to other people.

          • Jayfeather787

How does that Samsung cock taste? Brainwashed moron.

          • Karman Nagra

I’m in no way favoring Samsung. I could care less who made the phone. if blackberry made a phone that meets my needs, I would buy it. ( even though in this time period I won’t even consider) It doesn’t matter who makes the phone if it does the job better than anything else, then it’d suited for me. A nexus might suite you but people are different, and they have different needs. Of you can’t make a valid argument rather than cursing if you don’t have one.

          • Jayfeather787

There is nothing a Samsung can do that a Nexus cannot.

          • Karman Nagra

As I said, I’m not buying a Samsung, I’m buying a note. And a nexus doesn’t have 164 point pressure sensing display. It doesn’t have an s pen. And it barely has any multi tasking.

          • Jayfeather787

          • Karman Nagra

            Thank You for understanding.

          • duanewilkins

Depends, there is the samsung watch with built in camera that requires a samsung model, and the note function is a nice gimmick. will be interesting to see the battery life of the 4. but so bloody expensive.

    • duanewilkins

I never really used the stylus that much on the note 1 & 2, its great on a tab, but not much use on a phone size to me personally. You will like the extra battery life of a note 4 compared to nexus 5.

      • Karman Nagra

Yes yes yes!!!! Battery is very very important. I have like battery paranoia, I can’t see my battery go under 90%.

  • The wallpaper is awesome, asdfghjkl. Drooling over the Note 4 right now and it doesn’t even exist yet, imagine what I’d do when it’s all official!

    • Rippin Ricky

      watch porn on it

      • Jesus

        Very original…

      • JDMillest

        in QHD!!! haha

  • freggez

can’t download .. no save button

    • Ken Otsuji

right click image and save as

  • Fabian Taveras

But the question is? Will 32gb be the standard entry memory? Or will I have to cough up more money for 32gb?

    • xoj_21

      note 3 , only have 32gb option + microsd

      • Fabian Taveras

Well that would be great news if 32gbreturn as the standard on the note 4

    • Wall Breaker

i think the 16gb version is for outside the US as Note devices are usually power user devices and in the US people use their smartphones probably more than any other tech because its always with them.

In fact I think the Note line should be consider a super smartphone not just a smartphone its almost like having a mini desktop honestly.

      • Fabian Taveras

Haha seriously tho the note is amazing. When you think about it its amazing how powerful phone are.

  • Mahmood Qadri

After 5 years of loyal Nokia use, including every device up until the Lumia 920, I am really excited about the Note 4. Now if only they would release the darned thing!

  • Jon George

Yes I’d like to go from the Note 3 to the 4, but I’m torn between that & the new Nexus…only if it comes with the 5.9″ display tho..if not I’ll hold off till the Note 4 comes down in price…or I brick my Note 3 from my insatiable flashing!

    • Wall Breaker

i wouldn’t hold your breath more leaks are pointing to a 5.2 inch Nexus 6/x Display I doubt Google would Jump to 5.9 so fast. Also devs seem to post rooting methods and roms for new flagships within weeks of releasing. I personally prefer Nexus I do root and flash roms but I prefer to have stock android out of the box also new nexus rumors pointed to a 32 and 64gb options 13 mp camera snapdragon 805 2.7ghz of ram and Android L, and with Moto Making it you can almost promise it will have great battery life and even maybe touch-less voice controls and active display. Stock android has spoiled me too much :)

      • Karman Nagra

The only thing that the note line has over nexus in terms of software would be the s pen features. I actually find the s pen very handy and useful, and I know of people who actually use it on a daily basis. Although stock android offers speed and stability, I’ve become a bit bored of it. There is one more reason to get the note 4. You can flash a ROM to change to stock android and then go back to touchwiz at any time. So if you get bored of one just switch to another.

  • Preben Nielsen

Whau, that wallpaper is…. extremely ugly.

    • Note3 official wallpaper still looks better than that.
Attention Samsung; Try a replacement while time is still available.

  • bat0nas

Is it only me or the Note 4 looks ugly in those photos?

  • ltmikepowelll

I’m ready my JUMP! to get this phone when it is release… :D. Can’t wait for it.

  • Bojan Tomic

If it wasn’t running TouchWiz, I’d consider it.

    • Anonymous

Well, you can always use a different launcher like Nova, Go or Apex. There are many more too. I have a Note II and I have different launcher on it.

    • George

Meh, stop with the touchwiz thing.
Samsung made some serious efforts to tone it down and make it lighter and more functional.
I own a Galaxy S4 for a year now and I must say I’m pretty happy with the changes in TW.
Only thing is I use Nova Launcher because of the customization options.

      • Karman Nagra

I agree, Samsung is trying its best to improve touchwiz and make it better and faster. Let’s not ridicule the software before the phone even comes out

        • Jayfeather787

It’s not going to be nearly as good as stock.

    • TouchWiz is what made Samsung a favorite choice. Pure android is really boring.

      • Jayfeather787

Pure Android is not boring. It’s awesome and fast, and it can look whatever way you want it.

      • duanewilkins

I am personally enjoying the Google launcher on my Note 12.2, touchwiz is quite frustrating.

  • ThunderCrackR

You are welcome for the tip about this news, AndroidAuthority! It seems just right not to give credit!

  • Kool Karizma

  • duanewilkins

That Wallpaper hurts my eyes. After buying the Tab 10.1v, Note 1, then 2, then Tab Pro 12.2 (personal + work mix of purchasing), I recently started using a nexus 5. Compared to the note 2, the battery life if aweful, however for a phone of its size, I am sure the note 4 will be a good device, but rather expensive as normal here in NZ, probably twice what is paid in the USA.
