The Galaxy Note 3 product name has already been found in the Samsung SideSync app online documentation, with a few weeks ahead of its official announcement.

The fact that a third-gen Galaxy Note 3 is coming this fall is hardly a secret anymore, and it’s not like we don’t know the device’s commercial name – the support documents list “Galaxy Note III” as its official product name. However, the fact that Samsung already officially acknowledges it in app documentation suggests that the device could be soon launched.

Samsung has scheduled a September 4 media event – a few days before the IFA German trade show kicks off – with the Galaxy Note 3 most likely being the star of the show. However, launch dates for the device are not yet available.

Introduced a few months ago, the SideSync app lets users share the “screen, windows and data” between Samsung Android devices and Samsung Windows 8 PCs.

From the looks of it, the Galaxy Note 3 may come with SideSync already preloaded – the online SideSync installation guide for PC mentions the Galaxy Note 3 quite a few times, suggesting that some of the described steps are not necessary for the Galaxy Note 3 (see Source link below for more details), including installing the phone app in order for SideSync to work.

Are you buying the Galaxy Note 3 first chance you get, or are you waiting for other smartphones to launch this fall?

Someone posted the updated instruction one month too soon. Oops, fired :D I’ll wait for Nexus 5 before making any decisions (most likely buying it though)

Did you forget that Motorola is making it? I expect them to F it up gloriously.

        • MasterMuffin

Did you forget that that’s just a rumor (and Motorola can make good phones if they try)? :)

          • Luka Mlinar

I’m not saying they can’t. The X phone is awesome. It’s just the price that’s messed up.
What i expect them to do is to sabotage the Nexus so it would boost moto X sales. They will probably do something funky with it that’s not gonna fly with the costumers.

            • MasterMuffin

Costumers? :D I don’t believe that Google would do that

            • Luka Mlinar

Google is the business of making money first, then making you happy second. People seam to lose sight of that.

            • MasterMuffin

Maybe but I haven’t. Why would Google want to sell less Nexus phones when they’re targeted to different people? They’d just loose sales if they made Nexus 5 bad on purpose.

            • Luka Mlinar

I don’t imagine Google made much (if any) money on the Nexus line of phones. LG made the cash. Google just helped design it. Not that there was much cash to be made on the Nexus 4 one way or another. Motorola, now that’s a cash cow. Dual core phones for twice the price of what it’s worth. Even if they sell half as much as any other flagship they will make more money then any of them. Not like there is a shortage of idiots willing to pay mad money for a phone that’s not worth it.

Well that’s true, especially the last sentence :D

The Galaxy Note 3 would be (may be) nice, but my Note II is doing just great and I don’t see much of a need for an upgrade. We’ll see though…

I’m so buying the Note III… September just seems too far…lol..

      • Milind Sagar Vashist

yeah buddy, and it is gonna come to market in early october or maybe in late september if we are lucky

That ‘SideSync’ feature is intriguing me more to getting closer to consider an ATIV line detachable/convertible Windows along with my Note3.

I have the Note 2.. i am waiting for the Note 3 .. and for the HTC One Max .. i will buy the one who will bring the most complete package to the table.. Build qualitin on the Note 3 needs to be addressed, so does the sound quality of the external speaker, the display brightness, and the smoothness of the OS in general. I hate that in Europe we are still running 4.1.2 on it while the S4 has 4.3 already… No updates for us Note 2 users yet… Not a good point towards customer satisfaction Samsung… Looking for a december purchase.. so i’m not in a rush.. wanna see all the flagships launched from all the manufacturers before i make my decision.. No rush … There is plenty of fish in the sea…

There is not much difference in the 4.2.2 update and the 4.1.2. I am happy with my S3 in 4.1.2 and I’m not eager for update. Though I still welcome it when it comes.
Here is my short story; After I got my S3 a year ago I was able to install an S-NOTE app (I got it from a link at a discussion community samsung S3). That time my S3 was on ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’. When the update to 4.1.2 came – the S-NOTE I installed no longer functioned.

I go for the Note 3 instead of the One Max, just because I like the Samsung (Galaxy) products.

    • wargamer1969

Still using a Note 1 yes I’m ready.

While I hate Verizon, I did end up going back to them. AT&T just didn’t work out too well for me and I do plan on seeing what the GN3 has to offer on Verizon, though I just got the GS4. Time will tell.

If it’s redesigned, I’ll consider buying the Note 3. If it’s the same ugly plastic crap, than I’m buying the Sony Xperia Z Ultra or the HTC One Max.

      • Jaun Lombard

Like the HTC One Mini…the Max is using Plastic

Was trying to save up for the note II. But mite as well wait for the Note III now, the next next best thing! :DD

    • blowntoaster
