Update: Samsung officially unveiled the two new color versions, called Merlot Red and Rose Gold White and Rose Gold Black. The new models will hit China first, with more markets set to receive it based on demand.

The rumors were on to something – yesterday we heard that Samsung is preparing two new color versions of the Galaxy Note 3 that would launch in the first weeks of next year. Now Samsung Argentina put up on its site two new versions that might be just the new models that the report from Sam Mobile was referring to. The new color versions are Rose Gold and Red, and you can see them in their full glory in the gallery below.

Note that Sam Mobile reported about a “White Gold”, not “Rose Gold” version coming, though that was probably just a confusion. The new color options are currently available only in Argentina, and there’s no official information on their availability outside the Latin American country. Sam Mobile’s said the red version would launch worldwide in the first week of 2014, while the gold version would follow a couple of weeks later.

We’ve contacted Samsung and we’ll update this post with any official info.

Counting the new versions, the Galaxy Note 3 is available in five color schemes (with black, white, and pink available at launch). Samsung announced that it sold 5 million units of the phablet in less than a month of availability, and interest for the device (spurred by new color versions) is likely to remain high for the next few months.

Samsung also launched a variety of colored back plates for the Galaxy Note 3, though their availability seems to be limited.

do you know how much it is here in argentina this phone? more than 1000 dollars on-contract…

      • Ramón Vásquez

Actually, that depends on which dollar rate you consider. If you take the official (unreal) $6 per dollar, yes, it does cost that. The problem here is the disaster inflation is causing to our economy. That includes the stupid management of the peso-dollar parity.
In spite of this, telcos are disgusting and, as there is no control over them, they collect whatever they like for the devices and for the awful service they bring, which is getting worse day by day.

That would be great, but Amazon won’t send electronics to Argentina!

I have a feeling that At&t will see the red variant. They already have the red variants of both the S3 and S4.

The rose gold reminds me of a 655 year old woman who drives a Ford Thunderbird.

Color your mobile turd any way you like in your Nero fiddling fashion.

Nearly half of iPhone 5c owners just upgraded from competitors, notably Samsung and LG. Android has peaked and on it’s way down. Premium Android that is, not the 50% of the whole market share no-name-brand Android feature phones not worth a damn and don’t make anyone much money.

Bigger Apple iPhones next year spell further Android doom. Eric Schmidt is a disingenuous lunkhead stealing your data and some of you boneheads let him by buying copied phones made by an unscrupulous and immoral South Korean company. You richly deserve each other.
