Galaxy S4 vs Galaxy Note 2

The Galaxy Note 3 colors at launch have apparently been confirmed by a publication – unsurprisingly the next Samsung flagship smartphone is said to be release in black and white.

However, Sam Mobile says that about a month after the launch, the phone will also be available in pink. Considering Samsung’s way of doing things when it comes to its previous high-end handsets, we would expect the phone to arrive in a variety of other colors in the months following the launch.

Sam Mobile says the black and white versions of the Galaxy Note 3 will start shipping in week 36 (September 2-8), while the pink version will arrive in week 43 (October 21-27).

Naturally, these ship dates sand colors aren’t official yet, even though the publication does have a great track record when it comes to reporting on upcoming Samsung devices.

We’ll thoroughly cover the Galaxy Note 3 event taking place on September 4 in Berlin, Germany, at which point we’ll tell you all there is to know about Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Note model. Meanwhile you can check out our Galaxy Note 3 rumor roundup, or what we think we know about the device ahead of its official announcement.

Guess they think they are not selling enough of them to the ladies, right? Pink ought to solve THAT problem.

you obviously haven’t been to korea or japan

Yes, this will sell will in the whole SE Asia, pink accessories are good business. Also pink motorcycles/scooters are selling well in Philippines and so on.

actually, women own more notes than men. (Women are size queens)

Yes, and in Asia it’s going nuts. I know girls who say Galaxy Mega 6.3 is not big enough, they like Tab 3 7.0 and Note 8.0 to use as phones.

I have also seen men in south east Asia using 7 inch tablets as cellphones, even holding them up to the ear.

In asia, compared to the rest of the “odd” stuff….that seems tame. I’m all for the biggest phone that fits in my front pocket but a 7 is too big

        • Ivan Budiutama

yes, because they usually bring along a handbag with them, so they don’t need to pocket them and looks awkward. That’s also the reason why flip case is a big hit on Note series accessories.

Exiting times in the smart phone business. The color doesn’t really matter. Still i will favorite white! ;)

I just don’t understand why they can never have more than black and white ready at initial launch. Most people will buy black or white regardless, i would imagine, so they shouldn’t have to build up that much stock of alternate colors to delay the launch date by much. If they make the pink available within 2 months, that would be an improvement over the norm, but it still feels like they are incentivizing the wrong people to buy their phones. Phablet category aside, a person has a few different options when he/she decides to buy a phone on any given day. The typical smartphone enthusiast, who’s the first to buy the latest gadgets will never get to sport anything other than black or white.
