Galaxy Note 2 LTE Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update gets leaked

December 3, 2012

The Galaxy Note 2 was recently launched with Jelly Bean running under the hood, but that doesn’t mean owners aren’t waiting for a future firmware update that would bring the latest Android OS version on to their beloved phablet.

But the Galaxy Note 2 will not make the jump directly from Android 4.1.1 to Android 4.2. Instead, an Android 4.1.2 update is also in the works.

Samsung Updates has recently listed an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version (firmware version N7105XXDLK7) for the Galaxy Note 2 LTE (model number GT-N7105).

Considering that we keep seeing Jelly Bean test firmware versions get leaked on a regular basis for a variety of Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S2 or the Galaxy Note, we wouldn’t be surprised to either see more Galaxy Note 2 Jelly Bean unofficial ROMs get leaked or have the official Android 4.1.2 released in the very near future.

Either way, we’re going to keep you updated on following Jelly Bean leaks and rollouts for Samsung’s Galaxy flagship devices, but also from a variety of other devices eligible for the upgrade from its competitors, so keep us bookmarked!

Thanks, Krzysztof!

Agreed Greg, someone is getting very stingy with the updates whether it be the carrier or the phone. I’m in South Korea, and it’s not any better here.
