can i still receive OTA updates from sprint if i go through with this??

    • Tyler

No, but assuming you do a nandroid backup in clockworkmod all you would need to do is restore back.

        Please clarify

        • Tyler

In the clockworkmod recovery you have the ability to backup your current state of the device, assuming you did this as soon as you rooted your device you could flash back to that recovery and be able to update the phone at that point. But installing the ROM would prevent you from getting updates, hence why you flash back to the backup that you took. A good tool for doing this easily is ROM Manager which can be found in the Play Store, its has an easy to use interface and will do most of the stuff for you. Hope this helps. Happy rooting.

Why do instructions not include doing a nandroid backup? Should be listed in instructions as optional. Without that its just a mess waiting to happen.

I received an update (EOS-toroplus-20120804-38zip) There are no instructions and I dont want to screw up my phone. I followed the instructions to the letter and have the above 4.1.1. How do I update?
