Jelly Bean here, Jelly Bean there, Jelly Bean ROMs everywhere. This is a common scenario in most Android-related sites, particularly on XDA, and this Jelly Bean craze doesn't seem to be ending yet. Riding this trend is another Android Revolution ROM, this time for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250. This ROM is known for its versions from several devices back when Ice Cream Sandwich was still the hot topic. This time its developer is making a comeback with Android Revolution HD 8.0 based on Android 4.1.2.

Developed by XDA Developers member mike1986, this ROM is based on the official Galaxy Nexus firmware JZO54K. It's fast, clean, stable, and features a lot of performance improvements for a better Jelly Bean experience. Though it doesn't have fancy themes, the ROM's performance more than makes up for its predominantly stock look.

This guide shows you how to flash Android Revolution HD ROM for the Galaxy Nexus I9250.

Requirements

• A rooted Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250 with an unlocked bootloader and with ClockworkMod Touch Recovery installed.

• Download the following files:

  • Super Wipe Lite (Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_Lite_Nexus.zip<font
    color=”transparent”>, 1.2 MB)
  • Firmware Package (update.zip, 5.5 MB)
• Make sure your device's battery still has at least 70% power. You don't want the device to shut down in the middle of the procedure.
• Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.

• Make sure that your phone's battery is 50% or more to avoid installation interruption due to power loss.

Instructions

1. Copy the Android Revolution HD 8.0 ROM and Super Wipe files to your phone’s SD Card.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Reboot it into ClockworkMod Recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Down, Volume Up, and Power buttons together until the device is in Fastboot Mode. From there, use the Volume buttons to navigate to the Recovery option. Use the Power button to select it.
4. Create a NANDroid Backup of your existing ROM. Go to Backup and Restore > Backup.
5. Flash Super Swipe. From the main menu select Install ZIP from SD Card > Choose ZIP From SD Card. Locate the Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_Lite_Nexus.zip file and select it. Confirm installation by selecting Yes on the next page.
6. After flashing Super Wipe Lite, install the Android Revolution HD 8.0 ROM by repeating the procedure in step 5.
7. Select Go Back > Reboot System Now.
8. Repeat steps 3 and 5 to flash the Firmware update package.
9. Select Go Back > Reboot System Now.

Congratulations! You've just flashed Android Revolution HD 8.0 ROM on your Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250.
