Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 Bound for the Mobile World Congress 2012

February 13, 2012

Just before last year’s Mobile World Congress, we were already treated to witness the Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570. With the MWC 2012 just a few days away, we are (once again) seeing a new leaked version of a different Galaxy S Mini; highly believed to be last year’s successor. Apart from seeing the unit, information about the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 has also been leaked to the public.

Compared to last year’s model, the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 does not have HSPA+ or even a 3MP camera. It also has a larger screen, a 800MHz single core processor, and a 3.3” HVGA display. All in all, we feel that this is a disappointment from the previous model and it is a low-end smartphone that could give Android a bad reputation. Even though it is an upgrade from the 2011 model, the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 is no match for the smartphones being announced this year.

If this is the only device Samsung announces at the MWC this year, we’ll definitely be disappointed!

You are kidding right. This rocket powered phone beats the likes of the GS3/HTC Edge/Iphone 5. This is the stuff dreams are made of. Even the Galaxy Tab 11.6 and IPAD 3 should be running scared. Galaxy S4 with an Exynos 5250 with Quad core clocked at 2.5 ghz and screen resolution of 1080p with a 5 inch display. Not a bloody chance against the mini 2.
