Just before last year’s Mobile World Congress, we were already treated to witness the Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570. With the MWC 2012 just a few days away, we are (once again) seeing a new leaked version of a different Galaxy S Mini; highly believed to be last year’s successor. Apart from seeing the unit, information about the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 has also been leaked to the public.

Compared to last year’s model, the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 does not have HSPA+ or even a 3MP camera. It also has a larger screen, a 800MHz single core processor, and a 3.3” HVGA display. All in all, we feel that this is a disappointment from the previous model and it is a low-end smartphone that could give Android a bad reputation. Even though it is an upgrade from the 2011 model, the Galaxy Mini 2 S6500 is no match for the smartphones being announced this year.

If this is the only device Samsung announces at the MWC this year, we’ll definitely be disappointed!
