The Galaxy Gear, Samsung’s highly anticipated smartwatch, is finally here. We’ve told you a bit about the specs and features, but when can you lay hands on it? Good question.
Samsung wasn’t immediately forthcoming with details on when the device would be available, or even how. We’d like to think they’ll be available at retail stores like Best Buy, considering the Samsung Experience stores that reside within the nation’s largest brick-and-mortar technology dealer. However, availability wasn’t announced by Samsung at IFA.
As the Gear will currently only work with the Note 3, we’d safely assume it will launch with the device in late September (at the earliest), as previous reports suggested. Samsung hints at a Gear/Note 3 package deal for some markets, but wasn’t willing to elaborate on the particulars of that either. We do know it will come to the US, but have nothing else to offer right now.
Previous reports have been wildly speculative about pricing, but we want to hear from you. Now that you know the specs, and how it will work with the Note 3, what would you pay for the Galaxy Gear?
