How to flash XperiaTized ROM for the Galaxy Ace S5830

If you're tired of your Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830′s interface, then you can switch to the sleek Sony's Timescape UI, courtesy of the XperiaTized ROM.

Based on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, this ROM comes with a load of Xperia S and Xperia U goodies. Enjoy modded backgrounds, improved dialer layouts, and more. Version 13 of the ROM has been released less than a month ago and came with bug fixes from the previous versions of the ROM. Try and flash this ROM to get that Xperia UI running on your Galaxy Ace.

Requirements

A rooted Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 running on Android 2.3 or higher with ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

Download the XperiaTized ROM (Update-XperiaTizedV13-3-9-12.zip, 108.77 MB).
Make sure your device's battery still has at least 70% power. You don't want the device to shut down in the middle of the procedure.
Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.

Instructions

Copy the XperiaTized ROM to your phone's SD card.
Turn your phone off.
Boot the phone to ClockworkMod Recovery. To do this press and hold down the Power button and the Home button until the screen turns on.
- In Recovery, use the Volume keys to navigate and the Home button to select an option.
Create a NANDroid Back up. Go to Backup and Restore > Backup.
Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Yes.
Select Wipe Cache Partition > Yes.
Select Install ZIP from SD Card > Choose ZIP from SD Card.
Locate and select the XperiaTized ROM file and confirm that you want to install the file.
Select Wipe Cache Partition > Yes.
Select Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache > Yes.
Select Advanced > Fix Permissions > Yes.
Go back to the main menu and select Reboot System Now.
