LG took us by surprise when it teased the second G Watch launch in just six months, and now it’s back with a new teaser that all but reveals the G Watch R’s design.
LG published the image above on its Facebook page, as spotted by GSM Arena. Playing with the image levels in an editor partially reveals the device, which has a very conventional looking watch design, complete with a large button on the right side that probably wakes up the device.
It’s hard to tell from this image, but the G Watch R appears to be made of metal, while the strap could be leather or silicone. There seems to be a small bezel around the dial, which is an uninterrupted disc, compared to the Moto 360, which has a cutout section at the bottom. LG is making a big deal out of this “full circle” design, hawking the G Watch R as the “first wearable to fully utilize its circular shape.”
From an older report, we know that the G Watch R will feature an AMOLED screen and Snapdragon processor. Other specifications are still unknown at this point, but at least we don’t have a lot to wait until the official launch next week.
Are you impressed with the G Watch R so far? Do you prefer it to the rectangular G Watch or the Moto 360?
