I felt the same way, and the quality of the pictures… are way too far fetch for a person jumping.

Why do they not show what the phone can do. They need to show how good the phone is. Instead they show people having fun with little about the phone. They need a better marketing team.

except that those sort of tech spec ads don’t really appeal and work for the masses. What is missing is that they should have overlayed text on each of the scenes stating what it offers – the girl jumping up and down to take shots: the phone has OIS – the guy shooting pictures on the mountaintop: Photosphere etc

One pretty boring ad, not enlightening the product at all.
Come on Google, ads are your specialty.

Everyone is complaining about the ad, but it doesn’t seem any different to the current batch of Apple ads. They don’t even advertise a single feature of their devices, they just show people obscurely using them.

If people who are actually informed and interested in new phones or new technology, they can easily get informed by reading on tech news websites and not by watching a Youtube Ad. Now unless your my mom or dad then the specs dont really matter all they need is a phone that can do the basic things which are text, call, browse web, and take good pictures. Which by now, everyone is capable of.
