FaceDropt: Auto-uploading photos to Facebook
Facebook is undoubtedly one of the most popular social networking sites. People post status updates, upload media, and share photos every second. It’s no small wonder that a lot of Android app developers are creating apps geared towards Facebook.
Talking about uploading photos, Twitter has a lot of third-party apps that allow you to attach photos to your tweets. However, these third-party apps have their own sites to upload your images to, such as Twitpic, TweetPhoto, Pikchur, Yfrog or Lockerz.
In contrast, Facebook has similar third-party apps, although most of those apps tend to create new albums on your Facebook profile and then upload the images into that album. In most cases, too, these apps can only upload images one at a time. You’ll need to go back into your phone’s image gallery to upload another picture.
Developed by Frublin LLC, the FaceDropt app is a new and simple way to instantly upload your photos directly to Facebook without even launching the app again.
After you register and create an album, you are good to go. The app just runs in the background and while you’re taking your pictures, the app automatically uploads your photos. If you’re not connected to the Internet, don’t worry because the app syncs and detects what images you’ve taken.
You just need to create a new album using the app and set a date and time when the app should stop uploading the images you take.
This app is great when you’re on vacation, at parties, or just walking around. You can just keep on taking pictures while FaceDropt is uploading your photo.
However, while I was playing with the app, it sometimes crashed. I’ve tried it on multiple devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. The app had issues with loading my Facebook profile. Also, even if the app is lite and only has a few features, the app sometimes took time to load during my testing. Facedropt is still very new, but we’re crossing our fingers about the developers’ resolving such and similar issues in upcoming updates.
What I liked most about this app, however, is that it can detect pictures captured by third-party camera apps. You can use your favorite camera app and upload all your images directly into your Facebook album.
Try out this new app. Download Facedropt for free from the Google Play Store. The app has ads, but if you want to get rid of them, you can purchase the ad-free version directly from inside the app.
