Android 2.1 on Dell Streak

The Dell Streak has been available in the UK for a while now, plodding away running Android 1.6. It isn’t even available in the US yet, but the device is set to receive an update to Android 2.1 in the near future. Engadget have managed to get a sneak peak of the device running the goodies, but it’s not all rosey. The device is still optimised for landscale mode and the home screen only offers support for 24 icons instead of 32. Indeed, Android 2.2 is out now, so perhaps Dell will release this pupy directly with Android 2.2 stateside. Anyway, video of this device with Android 2.1 after the jump.
