Deal: Nexus 5X 16GB for $269.99, lowest price ever

nexus 5x

The Nexus 5X didn’t quite get the showcase that it deserved on the world market. Although the Nexus 5 was much beloved by hardcore Android fans by putting incredible power in your hands for how much you paid for it, LG’s follow up, the also-affordable 5X, was overshadowed by the premium-design Huawei Nexus 6P, which released around the same time.

This sucked for the 5X, but it rocks for you, because this very well-designed and relatively unappreciated smartphone’s price tag just keeps dropping. Now we’re seeing it for $269.99 on eBay, which is the lowest we’ve ever seen it.

Let’s take a look at what you’re getting when you grab a Nexus 5X. Processor-wise, it’s rocking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 which is fueled by 2GB of RAM. 16GB of internal storage isn’t bad, and the 5.2 inch, 1920×1080 LCD display is pretty beautiful. On the back, the device sports a 12.3MP camera, and the selfie-snapper brings 5 megapixels to play with. The battery is 2700mAh, but the relatively underpowered specs means that usually more than enough. Best of all, the Nexus 5X runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, so if you’ve been looking for an affordable way to get into the marshmallowy goodness of Google Now On Tap, here’s your chance.

These are admittedly mid-range specs, but for 270 bucks, you’re getting a lot for what you pay. It looks like these slick little devices are flying off the eBay seller’s shelves like hotcakes, so if you want to jump on this deal, you’ll have to act fast. Click the button below to get a look.

  • Nice price…. but for 16GB… ugh.

    • ichuck7

Yeah, not sure what I could do with 16 gb.

      • Sgo

There is a 32 gb version for a few bucks more.

      • Anne

Nexus 5X, 6P, 6 and more are now available online only on

  • Daggett Beaver

Let me know when it drops to $100 with a free year of Amazon Prime.

    • judoka209

You’re going to be waiting quite a while.

    • Np

You can buy my nexus 5 for that price.

    • EasyCare

You can probably check back in 6 months.

  • Why do these phones still come with 16GB? That is too small. I had filled up 2013 Nexus 7 16GB pretty fast.
Phones should come with a minimum of 32GB

    • Daggett Beaver

It’s definitely too small for the average consumer. My wife ran out of space on her 16 GB phone really fast. I know enough about what to do to avoid that, but she doesn’t. She’s the typical average consumer who just wants to use the phone and the apps she likes. Fortunately, she can upgrade to an S7 or S7 Edge now.

      • lxrmrz732

S7 in USA will only have a 32 GB option.

        • Btort

that’s better than 16gb and the OS takes up about 10gb….

    • Np

True that. Memory is so cheap right now, they should stop making 16gb ones. But probably they are selling for marketing low starting price!
Make 50 bucks for $2 chip.

  • nebulaoperator

    16gb is pathetic.

    • Johan

I am trying to give you an up vote, but it just does not seem to register.

      • nebulaoperator

Now I know about your good intentions :)

  • judoka209

Agree with everyone else. I won’t even touch a 16GB phone unless I can expand the storage. And even then I’d hesitate. 32GB should be the lowest option available.

  • Johan

    Hahaha, wonderful!
Basically all comments already says what I came here to say.

    16GB is unacceptable in 2016.
Heck, it was already unacceptable in 2012
(my Nokia N900 from 2009 had 32GB internal storage and microSD slot FFS).

  • VanceVEP72

Great price… the issue for me is that it’s 16GB with no SD card expansion. 32GB should be the minimum for this device.

  • john

I don’t know what you guys are a talking about…even 32 GB is unacceptable. I have 64gb phone and its 75%full… Next phone I have will be 128 GB at least.

    • Tranquilinsight

Well with Nexus 5x and 6p Marshmallow supports formatting your SD card to act as internal storage if you have a UHS-1. So, Nexus 5x = $270 and 128gb card= $30. So $300 for a fairly capable device with decent storage.

      • Tranquilinsight

Woops no expandable storage… Lmao. Moto X Pure ftw.

  • james millard

Is buying a new phone off ebay a good idea? Keep thinking about getting the 6p on there, but what about any problems or warranty?

    • Btort

just get one from google….they give 50 google play credit, and also got a 30 day return no questions asked. I loved my 6p but sold it because it’s too big for my liking

  • Buy a 32GB version, then.

  • KeyserSoze

No SD slot, no thanx. Maybe if it’s priced at $169 I might reconsider.

  • It’s out of stock
