Deal: DJI Phantom 3 Standard Drone w/ 2.7K Camera HD Camera $399

Oh hey! Welcome to the future. Remember how it was basically impossible to own your own fully equipped aerial drone in the long ago days of, well, just a couple of years ago? Now drones are so affordable that people are impulse buying them or grabbing them for stocking stuffers come the holidays. This baby however, the DJI Phantom 3 Standard, is quite a bit more upscale than the $80 drone you got your nephew for his bar mitzvah. This thing is the real deal.

The DJI Phantom 3 Standard Drone rocks a 2.7K camera, and when it first hit the market, it sold for a cool $1000. Now, its price has dropped dramatically since that time, but $399 is the lowest we’ve ever seen it go. This undercuts Amazon’s price by $51 and is fully $40 cheaper than we’ve ever seen it sell for.

This drone features an “intelligent flight system” that keeps the pricey components safe and secure even in the hands of the noobiest of noobs. The camera is no slouch, and it’s capable of taking HD video and 12MP photos. With either an Android or an iOS device, you can stream a live video feed in 720p of the drone’s flight, so you can be right in the pilot’s seat the entire time you’re flying. It has a range of over half a mile, and its flight is assisted by GPS. If you’ve been looking to make a serious jump into the world of drones but don’t want to completely break the bank, this is just about the best bang for buck we’ve seen.
