Did you get a Nexus 7 (2013) yet? Are you looking to get a sweet deal on the Nexus 7 (2013)? If that’s the case, OfficeMax has one such new deal for you.
This deal doesn’t apply to online purchases, but you can grab a 20% off coupon here. for any tablet available in the store. In the case of the Nexus 7, you can get the 32GB model for $215.99USD, plus tax. It’s a pretty large discount, considering it normally goes for $269.99USD. However, it’s a deal limited to the U.S.
Here’s a reminder of what we’re looking at hardware-wise:
The coupon can only be used until Aug. 10, when it expires, so you better act fast! Do you plan to buy the Nexus 7 (2013) with this discount coupon?

Is that LTE? Only giving up my current nexus 7 if I can put a Sim card in it.
Same here. I hope this deal comes around again after the LTE release
Stop tempting me! My Xyboard isn’t perfect, but sufficient to where I don’t NEED a new tablet. But damn that new Nexus would be nice…
Still no rumors about when Nexus 7 will hit Europe?
Ebuyer has it to hit the UK on the 28th August, PC World has the 13th September. So maybe Europe will be soon after?
Does this apply to the 16GB? If so, I’m sold.
I think it would but the problem is I don’t think they carry the 16gb T.T
Gonna get my new Nexus 7 hopefully by the end of the year as a Christmas present to me, coincidentally it’s when I got my original Nexus 7.
I would bet most Officemax stores don’t have it in stock.
a few have it in stock around me……although by the looks of it OfficeMax only carries the 32gb
Just called local Office Max and they say they are not honoring this coupon!
seems out of stock at every officemax in NC.
Don’t waste your time, they are not honoring this coupon for the Nexus 7. They claim the coupon was out before the tablet released and will not honor the coupon. At least that is here in Portland Oregon.
They tried to honor it, non in there three warehouses. The manager called up the four stores in the are that showed “limited inventory” to find one to ship to me at the discount, but they were all sold out.
I went to Staples in Tigard and they matched the coupon without even calling OfficeMax to check inventory.
I got it using 20% off plus office max in Florida had a 0% tax until Sunday night. Total for 32gb model was $215 :-)
Moto X vs. Samsung Galaxy S4
None of the stores in the Bay area have it in stock. It’s interesting to see they all went of out stock the next morning the coupon was made available.
Have you heard about the Nexus 7 running Key lime pie http://www.mobileosworld.com/2013/08/who-wants-some-key-lime-pie-nexus-7-and.html
Works in New York, but sold out in Brooklyn. Rep said wait for Friday to see if they have more shipments.
If I could find one in stock I would buy it.
Worked for me in Marietta Georgia with no problems. Even received a double pack of screen protectors free. My total including tax was $228. Good luck and keep trying.
Yeah Office Max manager said that he was told not to let customers use this coupon on the Nexus 7 specifically. Luckily, Staples honors comoetitors coupons and took it no questions asked. So go to Staples first!
I’d love to get one of these and will try the coupon if i can get the wife to let me get one.
I got mine in Puerto Rico, I paid taxes though still a great deal . Thanks for scoop!
Sold out throughout ALL of the stores in Massachusetts. :(
Called a local OM this morning and asked if they had any in stock. Girl on the phone said yes, they had one, and immediately said they would NOT honor the 20% off coupon. I had told her there weren’t any restrictions on there regarding product, as long as it’s a tablet. She gave me some BS about how it’s regional and says on there it’s ONLY in LA county (I’m in CA). I just hung up on her. Knew FULLY well what it said on the coupon, so to try my luck, went straight into the store.
Had a really nice cashier guy help me. He had his manager grab the nexus 7, started checking out, after he scanned the product, I said I had a coupon, he entered it. Did not say anything and helpfully scanned the coupon.
After tax it was $232 for the 32gb Nexus 7. He didn’t say he had to talk to the manager, he didn’t even say it might not work or he had to check if they honored it.
What irks me, is that their reps say the most ridiculous BS to try to work around loop holes or offers that seem too good to be true.
She straight up lied to me saying it is only regional, because it clearly worked when entering, also had NO fine print saying it only works in LA County or the East Coast or whatever BS.
OM you should be ashamed. Even though I got the N7 for a great price, I still want to call their CHR to give them my two cents. I feel bad for everyone who missed out because of BS like this.
I just got it 20% off at Office Depot, no questions asked :) Staples, however, said no immediately. Apparently they received a corporate e-mail telling them not to honor the coupon. Whatevs, I got mine, office depot was awesome.
Don’t know if this is only
happening to me but, the people at corporate Office Max are playing
dirty with this coupon. In the past 2 days I have had to call both
corporate and the local store in Portland OR to get a strait answer as
to whether or not they will honor this coupon. The rep at corporate
told me that the coupon came from a 3rd party and that they would not
honor it. I asked the corporate rep if the coupon was a fake, but she
would not answer that question with a simple yes or no. Then the sales
rep at the store told me something similar, basically that it had gone
“viral” and that they were no longer honoring it either.
What this boils down to is that corporate realized that they were loosing money and decided to pull the sale.
If any of you have similar issues with this, you should post. As for
me, I have no intention on giving that company my business ever again!!!
Please allow me to set this straight. The coupon is only to be allowed for use in the regions where it was issued. Each region (west, midwest, etc.) has its own date of release. This was advertised in some regions and immediately went viral nationwide. It’s ironic that a company that claims to specialize in technology products would not expect this to happen. Some stores in regions without the coupon inadvertently accepted it. My region will get the coupon tomorrow, and it will be usable for one week. All 32GB versions are sold out, but the coupon can be applied to an in store order.
