The next iteration of the Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, is still in development, but that doesn’t mean that there’s no anticipation for the product. The prospective design shifts and operational improvements should be a boon for any Android user.

Still, the waiting can make a few people impatient. This is why some enterprising hacker has cooked up their own conceptual theme for it. @AndroidAtNight on Twitter has put in a lot of effort in designing this amazing homescreen based on what he feels what Ice Cream Sandwich would look like.

Taking a look at it, you have to admit that it looks pretty nice. Called the Nite UI, the theme takes a lot of its design cues from the new Android Market and some from the new Google Voice widget. This means that it has a lot going on with a style at a minimum.

However, the entire theme is not your ordinary root required/flash zip file theme. Instead of being one rooting file, this theme is composed of apps that you can get from your very own Android Market with no rooting required. Of course, the entire process can be a bit daunting. The process is not exactly easy and will require quite a few tinkering. But if you’re willing and know a bit about installing the appropriate apps, then you should be able to get it installed.

So how do you do it? It is a bit of an involved process, but head on over to this link and prepare to impress everyone with your own ICS setup.
