The Mi3 is still a great device even after being in the market for more half a year. If you're the type of person who values quick updates, you'd enjoy their weekly/monthly update cycle.

One thing to pay attention for overseas buyers is to make sure that you're getting the real deal as I have witnessed a friend of mine getting duped into buying a fake one online.

I Googled them, and it looks like they have really bad communication and are very hard to reach. I would buy it directly from Xiaomi themselves if you can.

But if you don't Google, how are you going to figure out if the company is legit?

Dont use your money on Mi3 , its a good phone but you should rather wait and get the Mi4 . Its got the same specs as the oneplus one but a smaller sceen and better customer service . Also , it costs almost about the same for the 64gb model for 400$ USD .

I suggest you go for Oneplus one, with 3G Ram, surpassed Xiaomi Mi3 that's out of date now in my opinion, not support LTE or FDD

Mi3 or Mi4, both are highly specd phone from xiaomi. Snapdragon 800 & 801 dont have much difference in performance. Also they provide full support for their OS. Whichever you can get, get it. You won't regret.

    Mi3 is 300$ vs Mi4 450$ as far as i know. The Mi4 is better no doubt, i just don't think it's 150$ better.
Mi3 is a really good deal now.

Either go for Mi4 or OnePlus One, both are excellent and forget about the big brands.

Red: From where did you get this info?
I don't think they are going to change the invite system in near future.

Well, I mean if Motorola is available in your country, then wait for the new Moto G (2014)!

I bought an Mi-3 for a family member a few months back, international WCDMA version so it came with all the Google Service pre-installed, such as Google Play. If you get the China version of the Mi-3, it will not come with Google service pre-installed as standard, so beware if you want these services. I played with the Mi-3 for about 2 weeks, and it was good enough for me to say, without any hesitation, I would buy Xiaomi again, I have my eyes on the Mi-4. Considering what you are getting for the money, it puts the other large manufactures to shame on the price to spec ratio chart. If you're not one of those people who have a need to root and mod their phones, the Mi-3 will be more than good enough.

OnePlus One, I twice had direct invites from OnePlus, and twice ended up not buying, because of all the problems I heard with the phone, a forum with draconian policies and the atrocious customer services. But after all of that negativity, I'm still OK with OnePlus, I hope next year they'll be a much better company and have a more quality product.
