Hello, there! sorry to ask this kind of stupid question, but I really want to konw, if we can use the Tablet to make phone call and sent message, should we still use the Smart Phone?

I think the boundary between Tablet and Phone is the screen size about 7inch. When the Cell Phone has a screen over 7inch,we call it Tablet. When the Tablet has a screen below 7inch, we call it cellphone. Since the smart phone is getting bigger and bigger everyday, why not just make a “Tablet phone”?

I got a Tablet PC that has two different operational OS: android6.0 and win10. it’s made of X86 framework, Intel’s Atom CPU, not the ARM framework that smart phone always used. I can use it to play PC games in win10, and switch to android to make phone call, take phone, play mobile games.etc

Of course, it’s too big for my pocket, but if you are a hardcore game player as me, you will like it. The big screen is best for ACT and FPS games, and much better when you watch the film. how ever, some APP on android may not running normally, because it’s actually a mini sized computer in X86 framework.

This kind of Tablet is very popular in my country(china),the screen size of those device is from 7inch to 11.2inch,just like the Surface Pro and Mac Pad.I just want to know, is there any same kind of device in your country? What is the difference between Tablet and Cellphone for video game players? If you have a tablet cellphone, would like to throw your smart phone away and use it in your daily life?

It all depends on the technical specs really. Most tablets lack the flagship specs that we see in flagship phones, which is why the majority of gamers don't bother gaming on tablets. Also the size of the tablet could make playing games on them over a long period of time quite uncomfortable depending on the weight and display size. While phones are allot light and more manageable in the hand.

Yeah,I see, thank you very much. One fit for all seems impossible, cause nothing is perfect, just like truck and car, we can't say which one is better, they all have their own advantages and drawbacks. The real question is how to use them properly.

Personally, I think tablets are better for media consumption and productivity rather than for gaming. While the large display size would seem to make them an ideal gaming device. The fact that the majority of tablets require the use of the touchscreen for input makes them a little cumbersome. However if you could pair a controller to the tablet or even attach them to the sides of the tablet. It would make the gaming experience a bit more enjoyable. However you won't be able to play games on a tablet for long anyway due to the weight of the device.
