Locked out --- help please!

    Somehow the swiping in 4 directions mode to unlock the Lock Screen got set and I cannot either activate or cancel it in Settings. Whatever direction / sequence I use is rejected. It seems to cancel it I have to enter the sequence first, but of course I cannot do that. I had not set any lock mode apart from a PIN but it does not offer that option, except it does pop up occassionally after many failures . I will have to keep the tablet open constantly until this is sorted. How do I escape from this Catch 22 situation?

    You could take your device along with it's receipt to a Samsung Service Center. They will be able to fix the problem for you for free.

    I am largely housebound, there is no Samsung agent in my town except one which only deals in domestic appliances etc. I will phone further affield but am not optimistic.about their ability to "disable reactivation lock" --- Samsung support did not know how to do it in my situation.

    However, the situation is better than it was earlier, in that I now know how to get to the PIN code option more quickly so it is a shorter, less annoying delay than it was.
