Buy a Chromebook and get 3 movie rentals, 2 months of Play Music

by: John DyeJanuary 18, 2016

There’s never been a better time to invest in a Chromebook. Although few would vouch for these notebooks as gaming machines or primary work devices, they do make excellent secondary notebooks for when you’re on the go or traveling light. Now Google is making a Chromebook even more tempting by adding goodies to the mix. If you buy one between now and the end of the month, you’ll get 3 movie rentals and a 60-day trial of Google Play Music All Access on the house.

This offer has been available since November, but now that we’re coming up on the end of the timeline, you’ve gotta hurry if you want to take advantage of it. It looks like you’ll be able to redeem the offer later on during the year if you want to, but the Chromebook that you redeem it for must have been purchased between November 8, 2015 and January 31, 2016.

So how do you take advantage of these extra little add-ons? It’s simple! Just go to and see what goodies your Chromebook is eligible for. Remember that you need to actually be on your Chromebook for this to work. Naturally, the Google Play Music side of this offer is limited to countries where Google Play Music is available, and it looks like the titles that are available for rent vary from region to region.

If you’re a new Chromebook owner be sure to check this out and see what you can get. If you’ve been on the fence about picking up one of these little notebooks, it looks like the time to act is now!

What are your thoughts regarding Google’s offer for newcomers? A nice little bonus, or hardly worth the trouble? Let us know in the comments below!

3 movie rentals? Really? :D That’s like 10 bucks? I’m still pissed at Google for not having Star Wars movies available for rent before the new one came out…Eff that $80+ collection…

And 2 months of Google Music is $20. $30 worth of goodies is better than nothing that you get with other laptops.

It’s not actually rentals. It’s three SD movie purchases from a small selection. I believed it was rentals too and had all kinds of trouble redeeming them. Every retailer has been advertising that Chromebooks come with three Play Movie rentals, and Google’s ambiguously worded offer description doesn’t say differently. But after multiple emails over many days with Google Play Support, it was finally discovered that the codes were for SD purchases, not rentals.

Actually its you who doesn’t know the definition. Investment has multiple meanings once of which is:

“to use (money), as in accumulating something”

In other words to buy something using money.
