If there were any doubts left that the HTC Hero was heading to Sprint, they should be erased now. The FCC has just approved a CDMA version of the HTC Hero that sports EV-DO 3G…
It appears that rural U.S. carrier Cellular South is going to offer the same chinless CDMA version of the HTC Hero as Sprint. The company now has a web page for the Hero up on its website, and the photos appear to show a clone of the Sprint version.
No official word yet on pricing or an exact launch date, but the company does have a sign-up for that ensure that interested customers and potential customers will be notified when the device is ready for purchase.
You can find more info on the Cellular South website.
