Cellular South to offer an Android smartphone this year
This won’t really matter to many people, but small U.S. carrier Cellular South announced today that it is going to offer an Android based smartphone to its customers this year. Details are non-existant at this point, so it’s anybody’s guess as to who will be making the device and whether or not it will just be a rebadged version of an existing model (like the HTC Dream).
Cellular South operates a CDMA based network in Tennesee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. It is currently featuring a contest where people can submit an application idea to win cash and prizes as well as see the winning app idea developed by the company.
