Canadian carrier MTS Wireless to launch its first Andoid handset in Spring 2010?

Android has hit Canada with all the major carriers offering at least one Android device. The latest rumor suggests that regional carrier, MTS Wireless, may be joining their ranks this coming spring. According to a post over at Howard Forums, an MTS representative confirmed that MTS is in talks with several different manufacturers of Android devices and, although no decisions have been made, the goal is to launch an Android device sometime in Spring 2010. The source of this revelation is an unknown customer service representative which does cast some doubt on the validity of the information. Nonetheless, with the continuing build out of MTs’ new UMTS/HSPA network with Rogers and the potential arrival of a new Android handset, 2010 is looking to be an exciting year for MTS customers.
