BlueStacks App Player moves to Ice Cream Sandwich

by: Chris SmithNovember 8, 2013

The BlueStacks App Player software that allows PC and Mac users to run Android apps on their computers have been updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The emulator has been “stuck” on Android 2.3 Gingerbread for a while now, and while Ice Cream Sandwich is no Jelly Bean or KitKat, it still provides a good enough environment for running Android apps on other devices than… well, Android devices.

It will probably be a while until BlueStacks will be further updated to newer Android OS versions.

Then again, in case you just want to emulate Android on a computer, you don’t really need the software to offer the latest features available in Jelly Bean or KitKat – after all, you’d need a mobile device to better experience them.

In case you want to try out BlueStacks, you can check out the Source link below to get you started.
