Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is already available in Black Mist and White Frost, but how does a Blue Arctic color sound do you? We initially heard rumors about the Blue Arctic color model just a few days ago, but now the Japan-based retailer Docomo has officially confirmed the handset’s existence. The model number for the Blue Arctic Galaxy S4 will be SC-04E.
With this variation now confirmed, perhaps we’ll also be seeing the metallic orange model soon as well?
Unsurprisingly, the specifications remain unchanged from the regular Galaxy S4 models, apart from the inclusion of 32GB worth of internal storage, which so far had only been announced by AT&T:
- Snapdragon 600 1.9Ghz Quad-Core processor
- 5.0 inches FHD AMOLED (1920×1080) display
- 2GB of RAM
- Storage capacity of 32GB (microSD 64GB)
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
- Bluetooth 4.0
- 13.2 megapixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front camera
It doesn’t look like this change of colour will bring a switch over to the Exynos 5 Octa version of the Galaxy S4, so no luck if you’ve been hoping that the different processors versions will be crossing regions any time soon.

As for a release date, Rbmen expected that the handset would be announced by Docomo on May 15, which was spot on, and it looks like its expected released date of “mid-May” will also be correct. Docomo currently has the SC-04E scheduled for a May 23 release on its website. Unfortunately, we don’t yet know when, or if, this new colour variation will be hitting Europe or the U.S.
