BitTorrent and uTorrent apps updated with new UI and new features

The official change log of the app is as follows:

• An overhaul on the user interface and usability.
• Added the ability to choose download locations.
• Added the ability to skip parts of a torrent.
• A new app base that allows for quicker updates from the developers.

According to their blog post, they will also be putting more emphasis on their publishing project called BitTorrent Bundles. Here’s how these work. Artists who are looking to gain some attention create a bundle that BitTorrent users can download free of charge. This usually includes a song or two and some extra stuff. Moby did one a while back that had a song, a video, and some art work included.

This is actually a really cool idea because it gives artists and publishers a way to promote their material to a pretty substantial audience and if you use the BitTorrent or uTorrent apps, you should check out some of these bundles.
