Starting out with your new Android tablet and don’t know what apps to get? Let us help you by presenting this fine list of quality apps for your daily needs. From Facebook to Office, we got you covered. And it’s not just for you new tablet owners; long-time Honeycomb users can peruse our selections as well and check out some apps they might have missed.
And what would a list like this be without a Facebook app? FriendMe is a tablet-optimized, ad-supported app that gives you almost everything FB in one screen. It even has games, which most apps (even the official one) lack.
Here’s another app that gives you your Facebook fix. I like its polish and the clean look of this one. Give it a go but if you’re looking for a widget, it’s still being polished but will be out soon.
This app is from the same guys who made FriendCaster above and it certainly inherited some polish. Don’t let the beta moniker fool you, it works quite well as it is. There are some fancy bells and whistles as well like muting annoying tweeters using Zip It, color coded tweets for easy viewing and enhanced search.
Not to be out done, the guys from Friend Me also have this multicolumn Twitter app to show off. It supports a lot of Twitter services like yFrog uploads, Bit.ly shortening and TwitLonger. If you’re a Twitter superuser and own an Android tablet, this was made for you.
The must-have app when it comes to note taking is finally on Honeycomb! Take notes via images, typing and voice then make it all searchable and accessible anywhere. It acts as a diary, notepad, to-do list and organizer in one.

haha same here, just picked mine up today! and so far i am absolutly loving it! This article was great and a huge help. thanks!
Springpad FTW over Evernote ;) Nice app for Android (Tablet and phone) – and nice web interface for the desktop. Also – if you are like me and have your tablet on your desk when at your desktop working, etc – then there are times you open a tweet or pulse link on your tablet and would like to view it on your desktop to comment or more indepth viewing. Grab yourself Phone 2 Chrome – https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lg.valle.phone2chrome – and install their chrome extension on your desktop. It uses dropbox to send the page from your tablet/phone directly to your chrome browser on your desktop. Combine that with Google’s own Chrome 2 Phone and you can easily push web pages you are viewing on one device/desktop to another device/desktop.. Great stuff!
So you can pick and choose which one suits you better.
