Like most Android fanatics, I get asked almost everyday what I consider the best apps for Android to be. There are literally hundreds of thousands of apps to choose from, and choosing the best apps for you can be a personal experience, and often a matter of personal taste. That being said, I sat down and really deliberated what apps deserve to be mentioned here. And so, dear app searcher, here are a few apps that I consider to be some of the best free apps of 2011.

5. Ringdroid

Ringdroid is an app that I use very often, as it lets you customize your ringtones and notification tones using music you have on your phone. It allows you to trim and select an exact moment with in the song you want to use as a ringtone. It is a really nice app that makes creating a ringtone very simple with its very user-friendly interface. Highly recommended.

4. Heytell

This app might not be for everyone, but I believe it’s at least a must try app. Heytell makes texting and calling an equal action, rather than trading text messages back and forth you will be trading voice messages with your friend(s). This app becomes very useful during periods of time when you are unable to to look down at your phone and text something out or when the discussion is not so important you feel the need to use those oh so important cell phone minutes. Vinny, is a huge mobile technology enthusiast. He is constantly reading up on the latest Android news. Vinny also enjoy's what he does here, making stellar app, game and custom rom video reviews, as well as creating some great how to video's. While Vinny isn't all wrapped up in android he enjoys rooting on his favorite football team on Tv.
