Canadian telecom company Bell confirmed late last week the arrival of the HTC Sensation 4G to the network “in the coming weeks.” A tip received by MobileSyrup, however, mentions that the HTC Sensation 4G will arrive on July 5.
This means that Canadians have roughly two weeks to make up their minds over which superphone to get: the HTC Sensation, or the Samsung Galaxy S II, or the Samsung Galaxy S Infuse 4G. The latter two are also heading for Canada in July.
The HTC Sensation 4G is expected to cost CA$550.00 for a no-contract handset. No info has been leaked regarding Bell’s price plans for the Sensation 4G.
Bell is also giving away 10 units of the HTC Sensation 4G to Canadian (except Quebec) residents. The draw will be held on at 1:00 PM (ET) on July 12, 2011 in Ontario. Try your luck at the contest registration page, but make sure you read the contest rules first.
Just like the other two upcoming Samsung phones, Bell’s HTC Sensation 4G will come packed with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Moreover, it will have the updated HTC Sense 3.0 user interface.
The HTC Sensation 4G will be Bell’s first-ever Android device to carry a 1080p-capable 8-megapixel camera for HD video capture. The handset sports a dual-core 1.2-GHz mobile processor, a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen, and internal storage of 1 gigabyte.
You Canadians are fortunate to have the misfortune of having to have three delicious Android handsets to choose from this July: the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Galaxy S Infuse 4G, and the HTC Sensation 4G. Which one will it be for you?
