For mobile bankers looking for a quick and secure way to hop in and out of their accounts, the Bank of America has added fingerprint scanning to their app. This addition takes advantage of Marshmallow’s native fingerprint support.

Some of you might be thinking, “Hey wait, Bank of America’s app already has fingerprint sign-in.” You would be correct. Sort of. The app has had some seriously buggy fingerprint scanner support since September of last year, but it really only worked with Samsung devices.  Now the app is using Marshmallow APIs to manage fingerprint sign-in, and Nexus users are reporting that the feature finally works on their devices.

The update to this app comes with a few other perks as well. For instance, you can now order new checks from inside the app, which takes the hassle right out of that bit of minutiae. Check depositing via photos is an option as well, so there’s practically no reason to even go to the bank anymore. If you’re with this bank and you haven’t given their app a spin yet, click the button below to download it from the Google Play Store!

What are your thoughts of the Bank of America app in general? Some users are reporting that since this update, they are getting sporadic security questions that are annoying.
