AutoLinQ offers Android in your car, home and phone

    According to Wikipedia, Continental AG, sometimes called Conti for short, is a worldwide leading manufacturer of tires, brake systems, vehicle stability control systems, engine injection systems, tachographs and other parts for the automotive and transport industries. However, according to Pocket-Lint, they are soon to be a produced of Android based software offering exciting connectivity.

    This new software is called AutoLinQ and will allow car manufacturers to build into their new models Android based software which will offer a new solution for in-vehicle infotainment and connectivity. This includes mapping software from Navteq but aside from offering connectivity while you are in your car, AutoLinQ will also offer remote services while at home or on your mobile. These include security services such as remote locking, tracking, etc. Conti are designing a specially tailored Android application store offering purpose built applications for AutoLinQ.
