Cricket has announced the immediate availability of its new Android smartphone, the Sanyo Zio M6000 by Kyocera.  The new Zio features a large and colorful 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2mp camera/camcorder, GPS, and Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.  Cricket is offering the Zio for $149.99 with a qualifying plan.

The recently confirmed G2 smartphone that is headed for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network has been captured in the wild, according to the folks over at Engadget.  The G2, the successor to T-Mobile’s G1, looks to sport a full four row slide-out QWERTY keyboard and possibly an optical trackpad for navigation.
