What do you get when you combine two of the most successful franchises in the entertainment industry? If prior success in the Angry Birds franchise is any indication, then we might just get ourselves another mobile gaming hit. We earlier shared that mobile game developer Rovio has a Star Wars crossover in the works, and has likewise released a few teaser videos and images. We now have a sneak peak through a gameplay footage video.

In the heat of the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit, a judge in one of the international court cases ruled that Samsung’s Android products were not as cool as the Apple iPad, and hence the Korean company could not have succeeded in copying the iPad’s iconic design. Well, we now have data from consumer research, and it seems that Android, as a platform, is now considered the new cool kid on the block.

Opera, the popular browser for mobile devices, has released its State of Mobile Advertising report, in which Android as a platform is deemed lagging behind in revenues from advertising compared with arch-rival Apple. What’s even more interesting is that Android has even fallen behind BlackBerry in terms of revenue potential per user.

The 32GB Google Nexus 7 has drummed up interest from tablet buyers who think 16GB is not enough for their storage needs. But even before any official announcement, rumors and leaks of the pricing have sprung up, such as the $249.99 pricing from Office Depot, which was quickly pulled out. This time, it looks like the 32GB variant has landed on some retail stores, and some lucky buyers already have their hands on the tablet for $269.

Given differences in 4G technology support, carriers across the U.S. are adopting a gradual roll-out of their 4G technologies. T-Mobile, for one, has promised network-wide LTE support for 200 million U.S. customers by end of 2013. While T-Mobile currently doesn’t support LTE, it seems the Galaxy Note 2 only has LTE deactivated through the firmware.
