Following the success of Google Music officially launching in the UK, the Google Play Store continues to get better and better. This week, Google added 5.5 million works after scoring a deal with Armonia, a European music publishing group. The Play Store app itself will be getting better in the near future as well. Soon a Google+ account will be required to [...]

Before we get started this week, let’s take a moment and put our thoughts and prays with all of those that felt the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. From all of us here at Android Authority, our hearts go out to you, your families, and your loved ones.
This past Monday, Google had an Android event scheduled. They told us the playground was open. However, do to Hurricane Sandy, the event in New York City was canceled. Immediately the collective heart of the Android community sank. We had tons of questions as this was reminiscent of last years delayed launch, sadly do to the passing of Steve Jobs. We thought when was the event going to be rescheduled? How about devices, [...]

This week in Android news, most Android fans tossed their Nexus 7’s in the dumpster for the iPad Mini due to its’ revolutionary ideas and bar settings specs. And then we woke up from that horrible, pathetic nightmare. We tried to not make this weeks show a hatin’ on the iPad Mini show as much as possible, but at some points, it just couldn’t happen. The iPad Mini is a complete failure…that will sell millions due to brilliant marketing. On the show this week, we go over why the iPad Mini is a “me too” device and nothing more. For those interested in numbers and specs, we also compared the Kindle Fire HD and the Nexus 7 to Apple’s [...]
Continuing from last week, the LG Nexus 4 / LG Optimus Nexus / LG Nexus G / we don’t know what the final name is, posed for a whole bunch of high resolution photographs putting last weeks blurry pics to shame. Loves us some leaks.
