Gameloft has just released the much anticipated Heroes of Order and Chaos for Android. This new game is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) type game much like League of Legends and Defense of the Ancients for your home computer.

This challenging genre, while simple in concept, requires great knowledge of every single element of the game, if you want to master it. After picking either a 3v3 or 5v5 multiplayer match, you will be grouped with other players and fight for map supremacy against the opposing team. Not only do you have to battle it out with live players, but there are towers and game controlled minions that will attempt to stop your team from destroying their objective.

What helps determine victory is which character you pick before the match begins and the items you buy after accumulating gold while playing. This and plenty of team strategy from beginning to end will give a higher chance of success.

This new build not only brings many fixes over the previous beta, but you can now install its mobile version to any supported Android device!

XBMC is a much talked about open source media player that you can download for free and is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Apple. The biggest reason why it has amassed such a large user base is because of its customizable interface. The skins and add-ons available online can certainly add to the experience.

Speaking of, it is a delight to see that you can skin and customize the Android app to your liking.

Moving away from the main update, you will find a lot of work done on controller support, audio fixes, and other miscellaneous patches that you might want to check out.

Remember that this is a beta and not everything has been ironed and pressed yet. You might notice that the buttons are a little too small even for average sized fingers. I wouldn’t fret though because, once the final build is released, we have full confidence that everyone will want a piece of XBMC for Android.

All Ouya followers will be pleased to know that the team behind the Android powered video game console has announced that software development kits will be shipped to backers by December 28th. This is great news to hear because this means that devs will finally be able to work on optimizing their games for the big screen. Since Ouya will run on Android’s latest update, Jelly Bean, expect some high quality gaming that everyone will enjoy.

As you know, Ouya is a Kickstarter-funded project that utilizes Android’s open source code to make a one of a kind “free” video game entertainment system. The only price you have to pay is the cost of the console. The games will be free to play, just like most games on the Google Play Store. Since the device is going for a low price of $99, the team is hoping that it will attract consumers and developers alike that want to get away from the expensive alternatives.

From what the update says on Kickstarter, the ones recieving these early units will find something special about them. “Rare drops,” if you will. We can only imagine what it might be.

Sega has released a new game for us that should be received with open arms. For some, this will be all about the nostalgia. For others, a brand new experience filled with cell shaded graphics, police dodging, and tagging anything in sight with just enough spray paint. Welcome, to Jet Set Radio!

The story of this game is that several brightly colored and oddly dressed street gangs are battling it out in Tokyo to see who is the toughest group out there. While many games today would probably address this in the same way, Jet Set Radio did something completely different: battle by way of graffiti. Skating around the city and doing flips of every sort, all the while collecting spray paint cans is definitely a challenge. Add police and a Detective who doesn’t take stuff from anybody, and you have a game that will keep you glued to your device for quite some time.

This mobile version of the game sports high resolution visuals, the same catchy tunes from the original release, and more than 10 playable characters, all with their unique skill set. The only thing we can hope for is an update that will have controller support in the near future. While the virtual controls do work fine, having a real analog stick will make those turns a lot more smoother.
