AT&T has the Samsung Galaxy View LTE in its sights, releases November 20th

AT&T will release the gigantic Samsung Galaxy View LTE on November 20tt. There is also an offer in conjunction with DIRECTV to get the device for $99.99.

Earlier this Fall, Samsung teased what would become the biggest Android tablet it would ever produce, the Galaxy View. At an impressive 18.4 inches, it is also one of the largest Android devices period. While the Wi-Fi model launched a few weeks ago, those waiting for an LTE variant are in luck, as AT&T has now formally announced its pricing plan and release details:

Starting on November 20th, the Galaxy View LTE will be available from Ma-Bell, and for a limited time it can be had for a special price: $99.99. To qualify for the deal, customers must sign up for new DIRECTV service (2 year agreement required) along with the standard 2-year wireless argeement. Those customers already using DIRECTV are eligible to receive the discounted price if the activate a new line (2-year agreement required) with a smartphone on AT&T Next.

Those who opt to forgo the DIRECTV offer can purchase the device for $0 down (well-qualified customers only) and pay $30 per month over a 20 month period with an AT&T Tablet Installment Plan. Alternatively, the device can also be purchased outright for $499.99 with a two-year agreement. Those customers who add the Galaxy View to a new or existing Mobile Share Value Plan need just pay an additional $10 per month for access.

AT&T has highlighted the key features of the Galaxy View, including:

  • Display: Streaming video is brought to life on the Galaxy View’s 18.4 inch, Full HD 1080p screen.
  • Storage: AT&T’s Galaxy View comes with 64GB of storage, with expandable memory up to 128GB, so you can download your favorite videos, music and more.
  • Portability: Use the Galaxy View’s built-in kickstand in TV-mode to watch the game while you grill, or stand upright into Lap-mode to read comfortably. Turn up your music’s volume while its powerful speakers provide serious sound.
  • Long-lasting Battery: With up to 8 hours of continuous play or watch time, you can binge-watch, game and browse for hours without having to pause the action.

AT&T’s Senior Vice President of Device Marketing and Developer Services at AT&T Mobility, Jeff Bradley, explained that “the Samsung Galaxy View is the best parts of a TV and tablet, designed with entertainment as its primary focus…We know our customers are watching video in ways they never used to, and with this tablet you can shift where and when content is consumed. No other Samsung device provides this combination of integrated entertainment experience and value.”

The device was also given 4 out of 5 stars on AT&T’s Eco-Rating 2.0 system that evaluates social and environmental factors of AT&T branded devices and tablets. .
