In case you happen to own an AT&T Galaxy Note 2 then we have some good news for you coming straight from your favorite – or not so favorite but you’re stuck with it anyway – carrier.
Samsung’s second flagship handset of 2012 will receive a small update that will let you enjoy that multi-window feature other Galaxy Note 2 owners are already playing with. Here’s AT&T’s short statement on the update:
AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active “windows” creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27.
As you can see, we’re looking at a minor OTA update that will simply enable multi-window on the device, so don’t expect anything extra, like Android 4.2 for example. That particular update will probably be available to Samsung Android device owners at some point in the coming months.
Meanwhile, you’ll be able to try out a new multitasking feature, and while you’re at it let us know how you like your new multi-window feature once you receive it!
