Just in time for AT&T’s HTC One and Galaxy S4 launch, the carrier has announced a large 4G LTE expansion in 14 additional markets.

The new markets with 4G LTE include:

  • Fresno, Calif.
  • Carbondale-Marion, Ill.
  • Fort Pierce/Stuart, Fla.
  • Binghamton, N.Y.
  • Palm Coast, Fla.
  • Houma/Thibodaux, La.
  • Jefferson City, Mo.
  • Fort Smith, Ark.
  • Montgomery, Ala.
  • Las Cruces, N.M.
  • Mount Dora, Fla.
  • Mount Vernon, Wash.
  • Temple/Killeen, Texas
  • Beaumont, Texas
  • Lakeland-Winter Haven, Fla.

If you have an LTE-enabled device, you should be experiencing the blazing fast network speeds now. We should see more large expansions like this since AT&T has plans to cover 250 million people by the end of 2013 and a full 300 million people by the end of 2014.

Well, good news for Illinois. Carmi, Illinois (a small town) just got LTE from Verizon, While Carbondale and Marion get LTE from Verizon. Hopefully in the coming months AT&T updates Carmi from EDGE to LTE. I doubt it though.
