Walmart is offering the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 for only $168

By now we have a pretty good idea of just how Samsung and the carriers plan to introduce the Samsung Galaxy S4 into the U.S. market. To recap, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint are all shipping the Galaxy S4 before the end of April, with Verizon dropping the S4 sometime during May.

AT&T is offering the Galaxy S4 on preorder for $199.99 on a two-year contract, but you might want to consider heading over to Walmart Wireless. Walmart is offering the opportunity to preorder Galaxy S4 on a two-year commitment with AT&T for the low price of $168, saving you a cool $31.99 for what is essentially the same product. Not only that, but this applies for both new customers and folks who are already on the network.

So what’s the catch, you ask? There is a rather small one in that, although AT&T has a confirmed shipping date of 30th of April, Walmart on the other hand, has no confirmed shipping date. However, it’s not likely that other carriers and retailers apart from AT&T will experience delays shipping the Galaxy S4. As such, shipping should be keeping in tune with AT&T’s schedule.

Is being the first kid on the block with a GS4 worth $32? Are you still even considering the Galaxy S4? Let us know in the comments section.

Sold! This phone is awesome! I wish it came with Octa core, but I’m sure we won’t see that in the US.

I bet the octacore will come on the Note 3. Which is where my pennies will go.

Just to be clear…Octa-core is basically two Quad-core chips put together, but they never run at the same time. There’s a more powerful one for high performance, and a smaller one for power savings. Still cool, but kinda a misnomer.

Im with verizon, and have thought about switching due to the lag in their release date, but now Im considering the Htc 1 because of the huge reviews

I am in Canada the way the contract works for the plans are just foolish and stupid. I have to wait till Nov 2015.but I still want it so fir Ayre considering it. What features of s4 are coming to the s3 other than those that can’t be met through the hardware

i’m not sure if Octa Core is good as Qualcomm Snapdragon S600. in paper it look as if is going to outperform Snapdragon, but in reality Snapdragon outperform Octa Core I thank that is why use Snapdragon for US and Octa Core for International.

    • digitalicecream

The reason why it’s not octacore for the US is because of the GSM/LTE chip not being completely ready for debut in the states. But maybe in time for the Note 3.

Nope real reason is that they just started manufacturing the Octa-Cores this quarter. So they simply haven’t had enough time. That is why they outsourced some of the processors to Qualcomm. But to make them more comparable they underclocked the octa-core from 1.8ghz to 1.6. But don’t worry both versions are extremely fast. And the GS4 will be the fastest phone at least until the Snapdragon S800 come out.

My Walmart got the HTC One yesterday, probably can expect the same for the S4.
