The CEO of ASUS, Jonney Shih, recently sat down with the New York Times to talk about some of his company’s display products.  While doing so, he also mentioned the Eee Phone, a device that he has said before his company was considering building.

While Shih didn’t mention Android to the New York Times, Shih did more or less confirm that the Eee Phone was coming.

ASUS joined the Open Handset Alliance back in December of 2008.
