ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 video

In case the Asus-made Google Nexus 7 does not meet all your tablet needs – with screen size being one possible issue for the only Jelly Bean-running tablet in the world so far – then you may be interested in different Android offerings from Asus.

One such device is the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700, and the tablet is available for sale from Amazon right now, in various colors and capacities – well, okay, just two colors and two memory capacities are available right now, as follows:

  • 32GB Transformer Pad TF700 in Gray – retails for $499 and ships in 3-4 weeks
  • 32GB Transformer Pad TF700 in Champagne – retails for $499 and ships in 1-2 months
  • 64GB Transformer Pad TF700 in Gray – retails for $599 and ships in 3-4 weeks
  • 64GB Transformer Pad TF700 in Champagne – retails for $499 and ships in 1-2 months

In case you need a quick reminder on what the device is ready to offer you, we’ll remind you that the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 packs a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 1.6GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 32/64GB memory, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, 8-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, HDMI support, microSD card slot and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Unfortunately for you, we have no idea when the device will receive its Jelly Bean update, but we’ll keep you in the loop.

In addition to the four Transformer Pad Infinity models, Amazon also lists two keyboard docks that work with the tablet – both of them retail for $149.99 and ship in 1-2 months. The docks come either in Gray or Champagne to match your chosen tablet color.

Are you buying a Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 or an Asus Nexus 7?

  • LCTDeuce

Best Buy in houston said July 22nd

  • Jameson Keller

No one in Dallas has them yet.

Fry’s heard rumor of July 19th. Office Depot and Gamestop don’t know anything, but they said if they are going to get them it will be via drop ship today or on their truck on Wednesday.

      • LCTDeuce

Tiger Direct says in stock but I called them and the guy said they don’t actually have them until July 21st at the earliest. So looks like everyone is just blowing smoke.

I just ordered one from Amazon and it says it’s in stock and will arrive tomorrow.

Got one from Newegg yesterday and shows shipped today. They show it as out of stock until they know they have more and then they put it up again. Just have to keep checking back until you get one. Most other places are back ordered and local best buy says in store date of 22nd

Office Depot has it in stock with limit of two per customer – and you can have it in any color you like as long as its gray!

I have been waiting for this tablet for 7 months! Of course I’m buying a tf700t. Now… If only I could figure out when they will ship as it seems a lot of people have been waiting to say the same thing as me… “Shut up and take my money!” Phillip J. Fry, Futurama.

Just got a 64 Gb one in Copenhagen yesterday, without a dock as they were sold out, I was very impressed with it, but one slight gripe I have is that when I press the on button to re-awaken it, the graphics go a bit fuzzy before it comes on. Otherwise the graphics/resolution are extremely sharp in my opinion. Some applications that I also have on my HTC Desire are not quite as responsive, when scrolling for example, but that could be because they weren’t designed with a tablet in mind. Anyhow I’ll keep you posted as to my experiences with it.

I got one on the 6th of July here in Copenhagen (via danish internet retailer) – dock with danish keyboard still not available though.
During the past two weeks with extended use I am very, very impressed. This tablet is absolutely everything I hoped for – and then some. I have no doubt, that when the dock arrives this will replace my work laptop.
Screen is stunning and response is precise and snappy. A couple of the Apple disciples in the office mumbled about Apple should pick up pace, when they saw the Infinity.
I use it all the time, for movies, internet, document writing, games, email and so on.
This is hands down the best gadget I’ve bought in years and well worth the 7 month wait.
Dont hesitate – just get one!

Amazon says 3-4 weeks, but they were in stock when I ordered mine and I got it in 5 days. That includes an unexplained 1 day delay in Philadelphia.

Still unavailable on Amazon in the UK. Said it was going to be the 31st August but now saying 10th September.

One small grumble Chris and this applies to many sites and web contributors/commentators. Many of you always talk as if there is no internet outside the US or no other Amazon other than .com. I hate to break this to you but the WWW was invented by us Brits and it is called the World Wide Web because it covers the WORLD not just the USA.

So, although your headline “” is not factually incorrect it should say “…on” or “Amazon for purchase in the US”. You may be saying “this guys a bit touchy or padantic” but there are so many occasions where WWW retailers say things like FREE delivery or call FREE on 1-800 (and UK retailers also must do this) to an audience of English speaking surfers that aren’t necessarily in the US. Or even more infuriating don’t tell you they are a US only retailer until you get to the delivery address part and ask what State you are in and what is your ZIP code!!

Anyway, thanks for letting us BRits know it’s available and for all the other useful contributors. I look forward to the 10th ;-)
