The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2 is to be one – if not the  first - tablets that will use the new powerful quad-core NVIDIA processor codenamed Kal-El (Tegra 3).  Tegra 3 was previously reported to be a quad-core processor but recent reports are mentioning that it will bear a fifth “companion” core, making the processor effectively quintiple-core, and consequently making the ASUS Eee Pad Trasfomer 2 more appealing, with better performance and battery life.

Specs

  • 1-1.3Ghz Quad (Quintuple) core Tegra 3 SoC
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB/32GB variants
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1280×800 10.1 inch display

Without a doubt – this is going to be one of the hottest Android devices this holiday season, as ASUS is ramping up for a mid November release. We’ve heard from people familiar with the situation that the Transformer 2 is already in production, and ASUS is trying to avoid a repeat of what happened earlier this year, when they sold out much, much faster than expected.

Either way – it’s coming – and soon at that. Check out the video below, just leaked!

Looks like they’ve refined it, given it a more industrial design, and made it slimmer. What’s not to love?

Excited for this one? ASUS is on a roll! Ice Cream Sandwich + Tegra 3 = match made in heaven!

You’re complaining that someone’s using screen shots that they didn’t create, that you pulled from a video that you didn’t create?!?!?! Did Asus leave a snarky comment on your board criticizing you for ripping them off?

    • AppleFUD

guess you need to add water marks to you screen-shots of someone’s video so you can get credit ;)

It’s the internet and all you tech sites copy anything and everything from each other–I think you know this and have done it yourself, yes?

      Michael,

I never grabbed the screenshots from your article – I did what anyone can do – take screenshots of the video, and add the AndroidAuthority watermark. Furthermore, this article went live before yours.

Either way – can’t we just all enjoy the Asus Transformer 2?

yeah right, we just should all enjoy the transformer prime (till it comes out the first transformer in reality) :D

it just looked, like you pulled my pics and thats why i found it a bit “strange”, never mind…

Was waiting for someone to do some still shots of this and photo shop them up.

It looks a lot like their ultra-books, at least I hope that’s the case.

Weren’t ZTE the first manufacturer to have a Tegra 3 tablet out in the wild??

    • http://www.AndroidAuthority.com Darcy Alexander LaCouvee

Yes they were – but it’s still not on sale. It remains to be seen who will go to market first, but we’re betting on ASUS in this instance
