We should all know by now that it takes a great amount of time for accessories to launch for Nexus devices, the Nexus 4 and 10 being great examples of this.
However, there’s a few different accessories available for the Nexus 7 (2013) in the case department available on Amazon through two different vendors.
ASUS’ Premium Case is one of those cases. It has a hard plastic outer shell with a microfiber interior, so there is definitely some guaranteed protection for your Nexus 7 (2013) here. Other than that, it has a foldable cover to turn into a stand.
The white Premium Case retails for $32.18 from a vendor called DataVision Computer Video. As for the black one, you can get it from vendor “antonline” for $42.88. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s also some great protection for your investment.
The Premium Case isn’t available on the Play Store or even officially on Amazon. Since it’s showing up on vendors, though, it shouldn’t be long before it begins showing up more broadly, and hopefully at a lower price than $40.

It’s pricey indeed but at least looks more premium than the 2012 model.
I ordered the Poetic Slimline which is exactly the same case, and great quality for 23.95 shipped.
That seems rather steep for the 2013 Poetic Slimline case. Understandable if you ordered it and already got it I guess, but I only paid $7.95 including shipping and should be receiving it within a week or so. Where did you order from?
I’m not buying the Nexus 7 (2013) until I hear there’s a fix for the multi-touch/GPS issues… which is bad because I really want this tablet, but $300 (32GB) is a risky craps shoot…I might have to buy the upcoming LG tablet which sounds promising, but I want stock android/fast updates (I know, I know root, but I’ve never rooted a device)… Google needs to get it together with this tablet
I personally own the new nexus 7 and have only run into the multi touch problem once and I did a simple reboot of the device and it was working normally again, the GPS and multi touch problems are so minor that I don’t see why you are using them as an excuse to not buy such a great tablet
Well the good news is that google is addressing the multi-touch/GPS issue today with a minor software update :)
Just read that story earlier today, hopefully it works, as I am going to roll the dice and buy one tomorrow
It does work. Ive flashed it
Before you buy a Google Nexus 7.2,You should see the first video The following Google Nexus 7.2 review. Here will be tested for greatness and abilities possessed of this tablet
No magnet / sleep-wake function here??
got one and sending it back already. doesn’t lock onto tablet and you be left holding a “premium case”while your new nexus 7 falls to the ground
