At this point, we already know most things about Asus’ upcoming 10-inch Jelly Bean tablet, which we’ve been calling as the Memo Pad 10. Press shots and pricing details of the slate have leaked weeks ago, and it has even been reviewed in advance in Bulgaria.

The only thing seems to be missing is the Memo Pad’s official unveiling, or so it was the case. Yesterday, Asus finally introduced the tablet at the Thailand Mobile Expo.

The 10-incher will be formally known as the Asus Memo Pad Smart ME301T. Carrying a price tag of THB 10,900 or the equivalent of $365, it is actually more affordable than what the leaked price suggested.

Here are the full specs of the Memo Pad Smart.

  • 10.1-inch IPS display with 1,280 x 800 resolution
  • Quad-core 1.2GHz Tegra 3 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB onboard storage
  • microSD slot
  • 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front-facing camera
  • microHDMI slot
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • 263 x 180.8 x 9.9mm
  • 580 grams

Asus will release the Memo Pad Smart in Crystal White, Fuchsia Pink, and Midnight Blue. Expect the quad-core tab to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

    not worth the money..

  • I would be really bloody worried if it is 1,280 x 80 resolution.

Hey what about it’s battery life?

$100 extra for a 10.1″ Nexus 7 with microSD, rear camera and microHDMI. If it was $50 I would say it’s probably worth it, $100 is a bit of stretch but I can see it catching on. Having said that would be nicer if it had a Tegra4 and 1920×1200 screen though, then it would be worth the $100 premium.
